About

Center Stage Music Studios offers vocal, acting, instrument, and audition coaching. We believe each student is unique, which is why we customize our lessons for each student and collaborate with them rather than dictate to them.

WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT

Learning

We have a team of highly skilled instructors that teach performers the correct vocal, acting, and instrumental techniques while using the genre of music the performer feels best defines them as an artist. Instructors also advise students on how to build their resumes and prepare for auditions.

Uniqueness

We believe differences make for an interesting performer which is why our instructors collaborate with their students to pick music/monologue instead of dictating it. By utilizing what sets the individual apart from others, we help give them the self confidence they need to shine to their highest potential on and off the stage.

Performance

At Center Stage, we focus on being fabulous and engaging performers. This is why we give students several opportunities to perform at prestigious venues (such us World Cafe Live in Philadelphia) throughout the year. This allows students to showcase the skills they learned from their instructors in a professional environment.

What people are saying about Center Stage

Lori is an amazing singing teacher. She has the ability to motivate and push her students to reach their potential, she takes so much pride in seeing her students become successful and learn new skills. She does this while making learning fun. My daughter has learned so much from her and looks forward to her lessons each week.
— Jodi Abraham
In addition to helping jump start a young girl’s singing career, Lori helped our formerly shy daughter find the strength to be confident on stage and off. It’s always a pleasure to see how all of her students have grown with each performance. We really enjoy seeing the students perform together live as a band - rather than singing along to a recorded track. Lori knows how to put on a show that highlights her students strengths and entertains us. Finding Lori helped bring our daughter’s dreams to life.
— Charlie Bowden
My daughter Emily has been trained by Lori Olock for about 2 1/2 years now. Her experience and expertise with her vocal craft is phenomenal. She’s been instrumental in helping Emily reach her fullest potential vocally. The recitals are super fun. It’s wonderful seeing the kids perform on stage with a band in front of a large audience. Lori has been very professional and easy to work with. She’s a cool chick!

Heston Francis

Whilst Heston has been compared to legendary artists, such as Marvin Gaye and Leon Ware, he has a charismatic music style all of his own. Heston possesses one of those rare, "instant classic" voices laced with confident sensuality - nostalgic, yet very much his own style, his music is beautiful, lyrically refreshing, vocally and melodically unique, timeless, rich and soulful.

Born in Roseau Dominica,  Heston is a hot-blooded man, unabashedly romantic, allowing listeners to enter his most intimate spaces and thoughts.  With his polished voice & passion for delivering stellar music, Heston has been touring in London, France, Holland, Japan, UAE- Doha, Middle East, Portugal, Spain, Australia over the last few months.  He has shared the stage with India Arie, Wycliffe, George Clinton, Kanye West… just to name a few.

“Creating timeless music has always been my ultimate goal,” says Heston with a poised, yet humble demeanor. “I want to leave the world with music that can be played for a lifetime.”

With the release of Heston's fourth full length album, TRANSPARENCY, countless collaborations and successful international tours, Heston has proven himself to be an artist with undeniable talent and lasting appeal.

Transparency is truly an international album - having been written, recorded and produced all over the world - from London to Amsterdam, the United States to the Caribbean. To add further to the international flavor of Transparency, Heston has signed with P-Vine records in Japan for album release on 20th April, 2016 and US based E1 Distribution for world release in September 2016. The meaning of the word 'Transparency' has been defined simply as "the perceived quality of intentionally shared information from a sender" and Heston is clearly transparent with his heart and soul in this album. Along with other amazing artists - you can expect to hear tracks produced by the likes of renowned international DJ - DJ Kemit, as well as the talents of Lorenzo Johnson and Cornell Phillips. As always, you can expect to see, feel and hear Heston's heart on every track of TRANSPARENCY.
